The durable irrigation valve box fits over valves, control zone kits, and other irrigation components and protects them against the elements, pedestrian traffic, lawncare equipment, and potential vandalism. Removable lid makes it easy to access fixtures for maintenance. The sand box and lid are engineered with structural reinforcing ribs for support and strength. Make easy irrigation pipe connections through the precut pipe hole. Box has a built-in bolt hole and brass nut so lid can be fastened down with a 2-1/2 in. X 3/8 in. bolt (113BB, sold separately). Overlapping lid blocks dirt and debris from entering the valve box. Lid is marked for Irrigation Control Valve (ICV) use. Slot makes lid easy to lift with a flathead screwdriver. Valve box is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and box cover is made of polypropylene (PP) using a combination of virgin and recycled materials. Both box and lid are treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking from sun exposure.
