Nana’ Procumbens Juniper, also known as Japanese Garden Juniper, is a dwarf groundcover that is perfect for creating a low-growing evergreen mat of blue-green foliage. It matures to 18 in.-24 in. tall and spreads over time with its long trailing branches. The trailing branches, if left untrimmed, can sprawl up to 10 ft. W. The growth rate is slow, so you can maintain this hardy groundcover with routine pruning. It can tolerate hot, dry locations as well as full sun, making it a versatile addition to any landscape. Use it in rock gardens, along foundations and slopes, in mass plantings or let it cascade over retaining walls. Nana Juniper is insect, deer, and disease resistant and tolerates arid climates. It’s hardy in USDA Zones 4-9.
