Super Blue Lily Turf (aka Liriope or Monkey Grass) is an ornamental groundcover grass with tall dark blue-green leaves. In summer this Liriope develops soft violet-purple blooms that stand out boldly against the foliage. As the flowers fade, dark berries will replace them on the bloom stalks in fall. It is considered evergreen in warmer climates but will turn brown and go dormant in cooler areas then come back out in spring. In both warm and cooler climates, it is recommended to mow this grass down in early spring to clear out any dead foliage before new leaves begin to develop. Super Blue Lily Turf is hardy from USDA Zones 5 to 11 and does well from Full Sun to Partial Sun. Plant in average quality soil with good drainage and water 2-time to 3-times per week for the first growing season. These plants are well-rooted in 2.5 Qt. pots and will be no shorter than 8 in. T. They are not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
