The Yuletide Camellia is a classic Camellia sasanqua variety that ushers the Christmas season into your landscape with style! This selection produces brilliant red blooms from fall into winter. These rich-red flower petals surround a stunning golden center. Simple and single-form, the Yuletide’s blossoms have a timeless beauty in the landscape. The foliage is dark green and dense, with an upright growth habit. New growth tends to have a glossy bronze color. Flowerwood Yuletide Camellia is drought tolerant and deters certain pests such as deer. They are also great attractants to pollinators such as butterflies and hummingbirds. At maturity, this variety ranges between 8-10 ft. tall and wide. The Yuletide Camellia is hardy from USDA Zones 7-10. Plant in partial sun (3-4 hours of direct sun) or all-day filtered sun. Water 2-3 times per week for the first growing season. They perform best in rich, slightly acidic soil with good drainage. Fertilize yearly with a slow-release acidic plant fertilizer in spring. These 2.5 qt. Yuletide Camellias are well-rooted and matured into their pots. They will be between 12-15 in. tall when shipped and are not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
