    Description

Kintzley’s Ghost honeysuckle hasn’t always been a Proven Winners Color Choice Shrub. But we grew it, got to know it, and had to add it. This wild-looking plant is native to North America. Each season, it begins like any other honeysuckle, with typical dusty green leaves. As the season progresses, flower buds pop out like saucers. These rounded bracts look a lot like eucalyptus, but the flowers at the center feed native pollinators like hummingbirds. They turn into red berries in the fall but won’t become a nuisance like other honeysuckles. Due to its size and interesting seasonal changes, it makes an incredible specimen.
    • 6 ft. – 12 ft. T and 5 ft. W at maturity
    • Hardy in zones 4-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
    • Plant in full sun to part sun (4-6+ hours daily)
    • Space plants 5 ft. apart for best results
    • Produces fragrant yellow-white flowers in summer that give way to decorative red berries in the fall
    • Maintains dusty blue-green foliage in an interesting pattern and impressive, tall habit from spring to frost
    • Great for large containers, landscapes, screening, cut flowers
    • Attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and resists deer
    • Native to North America, drought tolerant, foliage interest, produces decorative berries, long blooming
    • Shrubs shipped Nov-Apr will arrive dormant, shrubs shipped Apr-Oct will arrive green or in bloom
