Description

Godzilla Painted Ferns are aptly named due to their large, sprawling size and purple and green coloration. Fronds unfurl in spring to reveal rosettes of large, dramatic silver foliage with purple stems that add visually interesting texture to shaded landscapes. Hardy in zones 5-8, these ferns easily naturalize and spread making them a helpful tool for erosion control. Divide crowns in early spring to further encourage their spread while similarly removing any crowns that extend into unwanted areas to control growth.
